If you're planning business travel but are in the process of renewing your passport, you may wonder whether you can book now and update your document details later. The good news is that this is often possible, but there are important procedures and limitations to be aware of.
Booking Before Receiving Your New Passport
If a traveler does not yet have a passport or is currently replacing an existing one, you can still proceed with booking scheduled flights — but you must follow the proper procedure:
Required Steps:
- Submit a request through the support form before booking
- Specify the airline and exact travel dates in your request
- Wait for airline approval — the airline must confirm whether they will allow booking with old passport details
- Review and agree to the conditions provided by the airline
- Book the ticket using the old (current) passport details once approval is received
After Receiving Your New Passport:
Once you receive your new passport, you must upload a scanned copy as an attachment to your order. This allows the ticket to be reissued with the updated document information.
Important Warning: You must never book tickets using fake or placeholder passport numbers such as 1111, 2222, or similar sequences. Always use valid, current passport information.
Updating Passport Details After Booking
If you've already purchased a ticket using your old passport but will receive a new one before your trip, updates are possible in many cases — but they come with important considerations.
How to Request a Passport Update:
- Send us a photo of your new passport as soon as you receive it
- Our team will contact the airline to confirm whether the document change can be made
Important Limitations:
- Fees apply: Changing passenger details, including passport information, is subject to a fee
- Not always permitted: Some airlines do not allow passport number changes after ticketing, or they may have specific restrictions depending on the fare type, route, or timing of the request
- Airline discretion: The final decision rests with the airline
