Booking an Award Ticket with Points

Last updated on Sep 28, 2026

Award tickets are issued in the programme account the points come from (the company's or the traveller's own), with the traveller's consent, by your Travel Code travel manager — so every booking stays inside the program's rules.

How it goes

  1. Choose the fare that shows an award line.
  2. Continue the order as usual.
  3. Note in the order that you want to pay with points.
  4. Your travel manager confirms the points price, performs any transfer with you, books the award and charges only the taxes to the company.

Who moves the points

Transfers are made from the company's bank program by the account holder, usually together with your travel manager, right before the award is booked. Most bank-to-airline transfers are instant; where they are not, the funding plan shows the time.

How it appears in reporting

Points used on a trip appear in the order details and in reports as paid with points, alongside cash. Every order shows the cash part, the points part and any credit applied.
