How the Company Share Is Calculated

Last updated on Aug 07, 2026
  • Per service, line by line. A mixed cart is split per item: hotel $300 vs limit $250 → company $250 / employee $50; flight $500 vs limit $500 → company $500; rail $50 vs limit $40 → company $40 / employee $10.
  • No limit in the policy → no split for that service. A service without a price limit is paid entirely by the company and isn't part of the employee's top-up.
  • City limits take priority over base limits. A hotel in Milan at $280 with a city limit of $250 → company pays $250 even if the base limit is $100. If there's no city override, the base limit applies.
  • For flights the limit is taken by arrival city. For a connecting flight — the final arrival city, not the layover.
  • Price exactly at the limit → no split offered, the company pays all. Exceeding by even a cent enables the split.
  • If the price changed between search and payment, the amounts are recalculated and you confirm the new split.
