Does filtering or sorting results change the violation status?

No. Filters and sorting do not change the applied policy. Violation badges, hides and blocks stay the same. If sorting changes which flight is the "cheapest" (under the "no more than cheapest + X" rule) — other flights' statuses recalc correctly.
